Different pause times are configured when setting up your Briq account. There are three types of pause times: minimum, optimal and maximum. If possible, the scheduler will always choose a pause time in the itinerary closest to the optimal pause time (best case scenario). If this is not possible due to limited availability of the chosen activities, the scheduler will select a pause time anywhere between the minimum and maximum pause time. It will never select a pause time outside of those boundaries.

  • Minimum pause time
The minimum number of minutes between finishing an activity and starting the next activity. Usually this is set to 15 minutes. Take into consideration that the permanent lead-in time for the next activity will be added to this.
For example: to move to the next activity and catch their breath, our guests need at least a 15 minute break.
  • Optimal pause time
The optimal number of minutes between finishing an activity and starting the next activity. Usually this is set to 30 minutes. Take into consideration that the permanent lead-in time for the next activity will be added to this.
For example: in order for the guests to have the opportunity to have a drink in between activities, we prefer a pause time of 30 minutes.
  • Maximum pause time
The maximum number of minutes between finishing an activity and starting the next activity. Usually this is set to 60 or 90 minutes. Take into consideration that the permanent lead-in time for the next activity will be added to this.
For example: we do not want guests having to wait longer than 60 minutes.

Note:

The following times are set by default:

  • Minimum pause time: 15 minutes
  • Optimal pause time: 30 minutes
  • Maximum pause time: 90 minutes
